The Facility

4 Doubles + 2 Singles Courts

Six climate-controlled courts — four doubles and two singles — purpose-built to international padel standards and bookable via Playtomic.

Café & Bar

Fresh juices, training mixes, post-match nutrition, and proper coffee. A social hub for members, coaches, and the community.

Recreational & Community Area

A dedicated rest and social space for players to relax, catch up, and connect — making EPCC as much a community hub as a sports facility.

Changing Rooms

Full changing facilities for all players, with dedicated disability-accessible provision built in from day one — not as an afterthought.

Reception + Pro Shop

Friendly front-of-house reception with a fully stocked pro shop. Racket rental, court accessories, and everything you need to play.

Coaching & Equipment

Certified coaches holding FIP and ASPADO qualifications. Ball machines, professional marking equipment, and a complete toolkit for lessons at every level.

Edinburgh Padel Community Club is a purpose-built indoor facility housing four doubles courts and two singles courts, all climate-controlled — alongside a full suite of amenities designed around the player and the community.

Courts are bookable through Playtomic — EPCC's technology partner. Both membership and pay-and-play sessions will be available, at pricing designed to be accessible to all.

Edinburgh Padel Community Club will be Edinburgh's first dedicated indoor padel facility and one of the first in Scotland, established as a Community Interest Company (CIC) to provide accessible, high-quality padel for all residents regardless of age, ability, or background.

Unique Position: We will be the first organisation in the United Kingdom to offer FIP-certified adapted padel programming — delivered through our partnership with ASPADO, Spain's leading disability padel charity with 20 years of evidence-based practice.

The Opportunity

Market Gap

Despite strong padel interest in Edinburgh, no indoor padel facilities currently exist in the city. All existing venues are outdoor or semi-covered, creating year-round accessibility barriers due to Scottish weather.

Community Need

Edinburgh tennis clubs have stopped accepting new members. No adapted padel provision exists for people with disabilities anywhere in the UK. EPCC addresses both gaps directly.

EPCC is committed to operating as a genuine community asset alongside a commercially sustainable business. From day one of operations:

A minimum 20% of all court time ring-fenced at concessionary pricing for community and school access

Formal partnership with Edinburgh Leisure to co-deliver Active Communities sessions on-site

Formal partnership with Sport Scotland, backed by the Sport Facilities Fund

Formal partnerships across Edinburgh and Scotland including Scottish Disability Sport, Street Soccer Scotland, YWCA Scotland, Generations Working Together, EVOC and more

Free school outreach programme — taster sessions for all Edinburgh secondary schools within the Council area
